CHILDREN around the country are getting ready to enjoy their summer breaks as the school term comes to an end.

Many pupils will want to thank their teachers for their hard work over the past year with a card or a gift.

Moonpig has launched a promotion allowing customers to get a free thank you card for teachers before the school term ends.

All you need to do to get the free card is browse the website to see which one you like the most and then enter a promo code at checkout.

The retailer has many designs available including one that reads "Thank you for bee-ing so amazing" and another saying "Real heroes don't wear capes, they teach".

There are also designs that simply read "Thank you" and others that can be personalised with the teacher's name.

Once you find the design you like, add it to your basket, where you then need to enter the code "THANKYOU".

Your basket will then be updated and the card will be free.

Bear in mind, though, that you might need to pay extra for postage.

When we checked, after adding a free card to the basket, postage cost £1.35, so that would be the total you need to pay.

A card is always a good idea to say thank you, and if you want to add something extra, teachers say the presents they treasure the most are the ones made by their pupils.

Let your little one create their work of art — a postcard with a picture on one side and a message on the other will melt hearts.
