About the role and where you will be working:
The ICT Infrastructure Administrator supports and maintains Southern Cross Care’s (SCC’s) network, server, backup, security and desktop environment, proactively monitoring and managing the performance of critical equipment
and services
This position is located in our central office in Rivervale with the option to work from home 1 or 2 days per week.
We’ll also be asking you to:-
- Support the use and delivery of ITC across SCC through effective administration and accurate recording of all network infrastructure and core system changes, installing, maintaining in good working order and performing repairs as required to all ITC equipment, including servers, thin clients, desktops, laptops, scanners, printers, and audio visual
- Proactively monitor and manage the performance of critical equipment and services, including SCC’s network, security and servers, Citrix and VMware environments (VxRail, vCentre, Site replication manager), backup, storage and SQL databases, identifying, recommending and applying solutions to resource issues, monitoring and managing storage space, and planning for future
- Manage Office 365 licenses, administration, mailbox migration and security controls.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support, performing detailed and well-documented fault investigation, and timely and appropriate corrective action to address network and system
- Perform security system administration tasks to manage delivery of applications via internal and external connections (LAN, WAN, Citrix, Remote Access, Intranet), including development and application of security policies and maintenance of accurate
- Provide ‘out of business hours’ support as a member of the SCC ITC team to ensure security and integrity, continuity and availability of SCC’s infrastructure and
- Provide support to SCC’s VoIP telephony including monitoring network data links, taking suitable actions to mediate any loss to voice
- Provide input to regular reviews and contribute to improvement of IT systems and
- Actively work with fellow team members to increase ITC knowledge and skills, and impart industry knowledge.
- Liaise with external ITC contractors as required, working with them to ensure timely outcomes or resolutions of issues and/or
About you:
Previous experience in a similar role strongly preferred.
To be considered for this role you'll need:
- Formal IT qualifications (Degree or equivalent)
- At least 4+ years providing Level 3 support in Microsoft Windows Server (2008/2012/2016) and related components, including Active Directory, Group Policies, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, DNS, DHCP and Remote Services across multiple
- Expert knowledge and troubleshooting experience in Microsoft Exchange (2010/2016/2019) and Office 2013 and Office 365 suite.
- Strong experience maintaining and supporting Microsoft SQL
- At least 3 years’ experience of installation, configuration and administration of Citrix XenApp
- Minimum 3 years technical support experience in VMware Virtual environment such as VxRail, vCentre & SRM.
